DO YOU incorporate owners into training?

Absolutely! We at Southern State thrive to provide top tier education to every client! We will ensure you are up to speed with all the commands, theory, do’s/don'ts and techniques we use in training. We ensure that training does not end when formal training with us does. We provide you all the knowledge and tools for continued education and continued progression with your dog!

dO YOU CHANGE MY DOGS PERSONALITY?

No. We do not attempt to change the personality of your dog. Each dog is it’s own individual, we adapt every program, method and theory to suit them. Everything we do will be in the best interest of your dog.

cAN i COME SEE MY DOG DURING A BOARD & tRAIN?

Yes! We allow you to see your dog while they are attending training. Visits usually take place on Sundays but being a small business, we ask that you consult your trainer prior to visiting so we can schedule accordingly!

wHAT IF MY DOGS NEED MORE TIME?

If your trainer decides your dog would benefit from some more time in training (length is up to trainer discretion but usually about 1-2 weeks), that is at no additional cost to you. All additional time will be trainer recommended.

wILL THE E-COLLAR OR pRONG cOLLAR HURT MY DOG?

No. A common misconception in the dog training world is that these tools cause harm and inflict pain to the animal. With the proper conditioning, training and ethical use these tools are an incredible addition to your dogs life. It is also important to have a general knowledge using these tools before using them on your dog, which we will provide you everything you need to know as well as practical application with us before sending you home with them.

iS THERE A tRAINING gUARANTEE?

We DO NOT offer training guarantees. We cannot confidently guarantee your dog will NEVER AGAIN do an undesirable behavior. They are sentient animals that can make right/wrong decisions no matter how trained. We will provide proper education on how to manage any behaviors you are experiencing but the said behavior will never be extinct.
